Fly Fishing School

Fly Fishing Schools

Enrolling in one of the Delaware River Club’s fly fishing schools is the best way to sharpen your fly fishing skills. Perfected over the years, these schools quickly lead beginning anglers to fly fishing independence and talented anglers to an advanced level.

During our 2-day course, you will have a fly fishing expert at your side to guide you and answer any questions you may have. You can expect to learn proper casting techniques, detailed insect identification, presentation tactics for dry fly, nymph and streamer fishing, equipment selection, how to read the water and other fishing techniques.

Students have the opportunity to fish the most challenging wild trout river in the East, where legendary anglers have spent years pursuing elusive rainbows and browns. Our schools are a great way to enhance your comfort level, skill set and overall success rate on the water.

Advanced Instruction

If you are an experienced angler who is eager to refine your skills and enhance your knowledge, we offer private instruction. These seminars are customized based on your interest and proficiency and are conducted on the West Branch of the Delaware River with our very own expert instructors at your side.

Our Advanced Instruction seminars are private, allowing you to not only schedule either a full-day or a half-day, but also giving you the opportunity to design a program specifically for you. Whether you want to focus on advanced casting techniques, the finer points of matching complicated hatches, reading extremely challenging water, tempting the most skeptical wild trout with an advanced presentation of flies or specific fishing tactics, our instructors at Delaware River Club can create a seminar just for you.
